Get Your Ezine ‘Out There’!
Placing your ezine in a Blog or a RSS Feed only takes
minutes to do. It’s easy, fast and free. There’s no reason
why you shouldn’t take advantage of this new technology.
Here are 5 solid reasons why you should publish your
ezine in a blog:
1. To Syndicate Your Ezine. Place your ‘content’
and ‘links’ on hundreds of sites. As you probably know by
now, the internet is a numbers game - the more links, the
more content you have ‘out there’ - the more traffic you
Syndicating your ezine in a RSS Feed will also make it more
readily available to those who don’t check their email or
for those who get their email blocked by Spam Filters or
2. Get Feedback From Your Readers. In my opinion this
is the most important reason to publish your ezine in your
blog. It allows for instant reader feedback.
Communication with your subscribers is essential for building
trust. Instant contact also adds creditability - you are
a real human being - ready to answer any questions a
subscriber might have.
As an extra bonus - your readers also get a chance to add
links to their site. Great for reciprocal linking.
3. Add to MyYahoo! By getting your subscribers to add
your blog to their ‘MyYahoo’ - your readers have immediate
access to your ezine. You don’t even need e-mail. The Spam
Filters can’t touch you!
By getting your subscribers to bookmark or Add your ezine/RSS
Feed to their MyYahoo - you’re building a large targeted
contact list. A great way to connect instantly with your
4. Blogs Will Help Index Your Ezine Quickly. Get your
ezine indexed in all the search engines. More exposure, more
sales, more subscribers. Using ‘MyYahoo’ will get your ezine
indexed very quickly.
The search engines are constantly looking for fresh content
on your site. By publishing your ezine thru your blog adds
fresh content to your site. You can add new content in a
matter of seconds - without dealing with ‘html’ or ‘xml’.
Because it’s so fast and easy - you will be publishing more
often or developing other blogs to match the content on your
More links - higher PR rankings.
5. To Monetize Your Blog/Ezine. Many blogs such as
eBlogger encourages you to add the ‘adsense code’ to your
blog. If you have a large subscriber base you can earn extra
money from your ezine and blog for months; if not years to come.
This is in addition to all those affiliate links and product
promotions you have in your ezine. Get these links indexed
and earning you money for years to come!
In addition, as an extra bonus, by actually using RSS or a
blog you will become familiar with this new technology.
Maybe all the hype about RSS is somewhat overblown but in the
near future every web site will have it. Where’s there’s
hype - there’s interest!
Gear up now to take advantage of this interest. Put RSS on
your site right now.
No one can afford not to use this opportunity to get their
content ‘out there’ - syndicated on the web. RSS is just
another way of passing along information. You should
take advantage of it.

Tags - Revolutionary or Just Folly?
Just another trend or something else?
Trends happen overnight! Some catch on fast and explode very quickly into our every day use.
Most of these trends you can ignore as silly folly or at the most fine amusement. Anyone remember pet rocks, Farrah Fawcett hairdos, or last year’s killer fashions?
Others, you have to pay more attention to: cell phones, digital cameras, mini-sites, optin lists, or email.
Right now, there’s another trend you should keep your eye on: ‘tags’.
What are tags? And why should you care about them?
Tags are a way of sorting and linking all that information in blogs and RSS Feeds. It groups together all the information on one particular subject.
It’s a democratic ’search engine’ for blogs.
Think of a ‘tag’ as a ‘keyword’ to be used in blogging and RSS Feeds (Feed tags are still in the works).
Tags have hit the radar lately because Technorati, which indexes 4.5 million blogs, started sorting blog posts by using tags.
They have created a folksonomy, drawing tags from different sources, mainly Flickr.com which sorts or groups pictures and from del.icio.us – where you create a tag when you bookmark a page.
Or if your blogging software has categories – this will be recognized by Technorati as a tag.
If you want to create a ‘tag’ it’s very simple; just place this code in your blog:
< *a href="http://technorati.com/tag/Computers" rel="tag">Computers< */a> (remove asterisks in actual code)
and you will have created a tag for computers.
A tag makes it easier and faster to find information on your favorite subject. It gives you a cross section of real views and opinions floating in the ether.
There are some inherent problems in this system; will the posts grow so quickly and so large – it’s like ‘finding a needle in a haystack’ or will you have to dig thru a lot of muck to find the scattered diamonds. Or maybe a ranking system will be put in place but this goes against the ‘democratic code’ of blogging.
Regardless, the traffic and marketing potential of ‘tags’ could be very beneficial to those who use it to their advantage.
A marketer with a product to introduce or promote could aggressively target tags as part of their advertising budget. As blogging increases in popularity – it’s something to watch!
As a website owner – tags could be a great source of targeted traffic. And the keyword here is ‘targeted’.
It’s the kind of visitor you want coming to your site or blog. It can only lead to a better quality visitor. Similar to a visitor coming from the major search engines. One that is really searching for your information.
The next big question, how will marketers exploit these tags to make a few bucks? Everyone knows that’s coming!
Will we have a ‘tag search engine’ that can rival the quality of a Google or Yahoo? Or do we need one?
As with any new trend – you never know how it will play out.
Some interesting questions have yet to be answered:
Tags are basically keywords for blogs – but as everyone knows the quality of links to these tags are not all equal. Will someone step in and rank these or will they remain democratic?
Just how will tags work for building content or links to your site? How will the search engines use these tags? How will marketers and advertisers exploit the potential of all this content and the content’s viewers?
Will we have tag-spamming? (Just what we need another form of spamming!) Someone flooding these tags with thousands of links to get traffic or sell a product.
Not to hype it too much but there’s a real ‘we’re entering unknown territory’ feeling with blogging and RSS lately. Heady days for those keeping a close watch on the events unfolding. There are countless applications probably already in the works for tags!
It could be the start of something big or it could just fizzle.
In any case – keep your eyes peeled to that cursor! There’s probably a tag on the end of it!
This trend may just offer more than fine amusement.

No matter what industry you’re in, it’s absolute vital that you either sell software or offer free software to your customers.
By the time you are done reading this article, you will
1. “It’s the Product, Stupid”
No amount of marketing “how to” is going to make up for not having a killer product.
People are sick of being told how to do it. They want something that will “do it” for them.
Software does just that … It *does* things for people.
Stop trying to sell “how to” and start selling instant solutions. That’s where the real money is.
2. Downloadable Viral Marketing Tools
OK, so you don’t want to sell software. Fair enough.
You’re crazy if you don’t use software as a viral marketing tool.
Many of the largest lists on the Internet were built using free software downloads as an enticement for subscribing.
You can easily add viral twists to these tools and before
you know it hundreds or even thousands of sites could be
offering your free software - becoming virtual newsletter
What if you created just one new tool like that a week?
How big would your list be inside of 6 months?
3. Create Value-Added Customer Helper Apps
What if you were to create applications that simply added value to your existing products and services?
How much higher would your customer satisfaction be if you created various software tools to teach, train, support, or otherwise help your customers?
How many more sales would that added customer satisfaction generate for you without any additional effort year after year?
4. Upsell Products
As you probably know, selling new products to existing customers is the easiest way in the world to make money.
It’s 5 times easier to sell to an existing customer than it is to acquire a new one.
Why not create new products using “Make Your Own Software” and sell them to your existing customer base?
5. Highest Profit Margins in the World
Electrons are free.
If you’re selling an instantly downloadable product, your
product fulfillment costs are virtually nil.
Plus, in the software industry there is no inventory to manage, so it’s probably the easiest business in the world to manage as well.

In my career, I have had a total of 3 businesses myself and a few others where I am in partnerships. Each time you start a business the basics are pretty well the same. Here are 10 things I believe are really important for anyone starting up a business….
. Don’t waste your dollars on things you don’t need. This alone is one of the biggest reasons people go under. You simply won’t need expensive office equipment, computers, phone systems etc when starting out. You’ll be surprised at how well a computer of 2 years will perform in caparison to one that’s brand new for triple the price! Be real with your $$$$. The basic here is that if it’s not going to make money for you, build or protect your business then simply AND quickly look/walk away so you’re not tempted to buy it - extravagance has no place when your starting a business on a budget. If you’ve got hundreds of thousands to splurge though, forget all of the above and go to point 2!
2. Develop a plan of where you wish for you AND your business to be this time next year. You will need to think about such things as a basic marketing plan to so you know what marketing you need to do to achieve that outcome. Starting and building a business is like building a house without the framework it’s bound to crumble. Think of your business plan as your roadmap - without it you don’t know where you’re headed or how to get there. So take a couple of hours and give it some consideration, if you’re serious about developing a successful business then I’m sure you can get serious enough to schedule some time in to do it.
3. Ask and get advise - this is huge! This one factor if not done or acted upon can send you under in a quick way! Ask professionals for help and guidance, they will steer you clear of known traps that you just won’t know about starting out (I’ve learnt this one the hard way!). You don’t need to be a hero and do everything, and think of everything, yourself. Hate to tell you this but, when you start out you DON’T know everything ok - so don’t embarrass yourself by thinking you do, as the only one you’ll fool will be yourself(indeed years down the track I’m still learning something everyday)
4. Make sure your business look is congruent. Have a business name that explains what you do so you’re customers are buying or dealing from you rather than trying to figure out what you do. BEFORE you register the name, check that you can also get the website domain for it too. It’s a real inconvenience and creates dramas for your customer AND you having to explain it to everyone! Colours, style etc need to be the same throughout your website, stationary, business cards etc
5. Hire right - if you are in the retail sector than hire a people person with personality plus over someone with the skills - you can teach practical skills such as taking money etc - but you can’t teach people skills. If you need someone for accounts or admin where they aren’t dealing with your customers then obviously the skills are more important.
6. Base your business on how you can add value to your customers. You’d be surprised how your business it will grow by suiting the needs of your ‘ideal’ client AND looking after them each and every time.
7. Know, understand and keep in contact with clients you WANT to deal with - it will not only make business more pleasurable for you and the clients will love dealing with you as you’re always happy etc too - happy clients, more business, more referrals, less money spent on advertising and marketing!
8. Get organised - for goodness sake, NO ONE enjoys being stuffed around by someone always giving excuses for their mess, un-organisation, forgetting to follow through, not implementing, lack of communication, being late etc etc etc - get yourself some solid an effective systems to back you up in business so you can do it right EVERY time.
9. Work WITHIN your budget - never above it. It is disastrous to think “Oh we’ll get more money in, it’ll be right, or oh such as such is expected to pay this month” etc - it won’t be - be conservative in your spend otherwise you will go under before you can blink! Don’t sign leases or contracts on anything based on a projected income - you’re playing with fire and you’ll be busy enough without the stress and pressure of this to add to your lot.
10. Outsource what you’re not good at or don’t like. I’ll admit it I do not enjoy any form of admin - yet I’m a perfectionist and need everything to be systemised so it frees me up to be creative. So instead of learning how to do accounts in MYOB and instead of procrastinating for days on filing etc (after I gave both a go time and again) it was easier, quicker and more productive for me and my business to outsource it to someone who WAS passionate about doing it. Not only do they do it in a fraction of the time - but they do it well because they love doing it!
Of course I could easily keep going on - there’s always something you learn in business - however I’m sure these 10 will give you a great place to start…
And one more thing ENJOY what you’re doing - if you’re not, you’re definitely in the wrong game and now is a good time to change careers!

When you think of tracking, you probably think of tracking the
response to your various ads and promotions to determine which of
them are profitable and which are just a big waste of time and
money. This is all very important – in fact it is one of the
most important keys to your success.
But there’s a lot more to tracking than that. You see, your
tracking efforts should not stop once a visitor responds to one
of your ads or promotions. In fact, no matter how a person
stumbles across your site it’s just as important to track their
footsteps as it is to track how they found you.
==> Tracking - How It’s REALLY Done!
That’s right, I’m talking about tracking what people do once
they arrive at your website. Here’s a simple example …
Say a person arrives at your homepage, reads a paragraph or
two, and then leaves. A few minutes later another visitor
arrives and does the same thing. Ten minutes later another
visitor shows up, he or she pokes around for a few minutes
but they too ultimately leave without exploring much.
You probably don’t realize it, but chances are this is going on
lots more than you think. For one reason or another, the majority
of people visiting your site are probably leaving without doing
whatever it is that you want them to do.
As Internet marketers we tend to think that everyone who arrives
at our website is going to read every word on every page. Then
they will download our free e-book, subscribe to our e-zine,
purchase our product, or do whatever else it is we want them to
do. After all, who in their right mind is not going to be
interested in what we’re offering. Right?
Unfortunately that’s just not the case … some people just won’t
be interested in what you are offering at your site. And there’s
nothing you can do about that. Even if you are attracting
“targeted” visitors to your website, not every dog owner is going
to buy your book on dog training.
==> Why You’re REALLY Losing Money…
The real problem however, is when people who ARE interested in
what you’re doing don’t take the action you want them to take
once they arrive at your website. Maybe they got lost, maybe they
got confused, maybe they were about to order your product but
bailed out at the last minute when they saw your order form, or
maybe there was some other problem.
Trust me, you are losing money right now for no reason other than
the fact that your website is not as good as it could be. And
this applies to every single site on the web. Even ours, and yes,
even sites like Microsoft.com and Yahoo.com.
A website is never “finished” and that’s why savvy marketers are
constantly tweaking their websites to try to increase the
response to their various offerings. Tweaking headlines, re-
writing sales copy, removing graphics, adding graphics, changing
the navigational system, etc. … these are all things that most
webmasters are doing practically every single day in order to
convert visitors into more revenue.
==> Don’t Do It Blindly, Let Me Give You The Secret…
But the problem is that most people do this blindly, basing
changes on their opinions of how it may affect the behavior of
visitors once they arrive at their website. And let me tell you
right now, this is NOT how to do it.
Just because you think one headline is better than another
doesn’t mean that your visitors will respond better to it. In
fact, it usually works out exactly the opposite – the headline
you think is best will probably generate LESS of a response than
the one you were using before!
Say you have a simple three-page direct sales website. On the
homepage you have a headline, some introductory sales copy, and a
link to the next page which contains your main salesletter. Your
main salesletter really “sells” your product or service, and then
links to your order form.
After awhile you notice that you are not getting nearly as many
orders as you think you should be getting based on the amount of
targeted traffic your site receives. The problem could be with
your homepage, your salesletter, your order form, or a
combination of any of these. How in the world are you going to
figure out where the problem lies?
==> No Guess Work Needed…
You could do what most people do – take a guess – and base your
changes on that. But chances are you will not guess the right
answer, and your sales and profits will still be slim. What’s
worse is that you may end up making things worse, in which case
your sales and profits would actually decrease!
Guessing is no way to run a business. It’s what most people do,
and it’s one of the big reasons that most people are not making
much money. Basing your marketing decisions on your own opinions,
or guesswork, is a sure-fire way to go broke.
Now, on the other hand, if you had a proper tracking system in
place it would be relatively easy to solve your problem. Starting
with the homepage, you could focus on tweaking one page at a time
until your sales were where they ought to be.
Perhaps your tracking system tells you that for every 100
visitors to your homepage, only 5 of them are clicking the link
that takes them to your main salesletter. That is a serious
problem! But since you have an exact baseline figure to work
with, it wouldn’t be too hard to improve upon.
Simply tweak your headline, copy, etc. and then reset your
tracking system to see what the new results are. If after your
changes more than 5 out of every 100 visitors is going to your
salesletter, then your changes helped and you can repeat the
process again. What if this time only 1 out of 100 visitors
clicks to your salesletter? Simple! Undo the changes and start
over at square one.
Maybe after doing this for a week you’re now seeing that for
every 100 visitors, 42 are now clicking to your salesletter.
That’s much better, and you are probably happy with that. Great!
Move on to the salesletter and repeat the process.
If only 5 out of 100 people that reads your salesletter actually
clicks to the order form, you need to tweak your salesletter. It
may take a little while, but as long as you are tracking
everything you will know what is working and what is not.
Finally, work on your order form the same way.
==> How To Increase Your Profits By At Least 100%-500%!
When all is said and done, the average site will probably be able
to increase their overall profits by at least 100-500%.
Just think what it would do to your bottom line if you could
increase your profits 100-500% with your existing traffic!
The above example is really just the tip of the iceberg. With a
good tracking system you can track and improve the response to
almost anything this way – downloads of your ebook, ezine
subscriptions, software downloads, a general lead generation
system, surveys, etc. etc.
==> Here’s The Bottom Line
Listen, we made all of the usual mistakes until finally we
learned the hard way. We decided to do a large advertising
campaign that cost us a lot money. In the end, we still made
a small profit, but we sure did lose A LOT of customers and
potential sales … not to mention we wasted valuable time.
So, we hired an expensive programmer to create AdMinder …
and now you can use it too. For as little as 67 cents a day
AdMinder will track all your various ads and promotions, as
well as allow you to track visitors’ footsteps and actions
once they reach your website. No more guessing!
The bottom line is that it’s pretty silly to spend a lot of
time, effort, and money advertising your commercial website
if it does not do a good job of converting visitors into
revenue in one way or another … wouldn’t you agree?
Obviously I’m a little biased, but the absolute truth of the
matter is that no other tracking system can do everything
that AdMinder does at such a low cost.
Click the link below for all of the exciting details, and to
see how this incredible product will help you to make more
money online. And be sure to take the online Tour …
Just look how user-friendly it is … and check out all of
the invaluable data and stats it provides at the click of a
few buttons. How does YOUR ad tracking system compare?
I’ve just written an article about 5 of the most common things that in my experience will turn prospective visitors away from your website.
You probably already know about the neeed for a domain name, but some of the other ones may surprise you.
Even a friend who is a marketing consultant wan’t aware of the WWW one. His jaw hit the ground when I told him, and he realised the implications for HIS business.
I won’t post it here, because I believe that a BLOG is best used for short, pithy posts.

Internet Management for businesses.
By Terry Dean
Do you really want to make money online? Do you want to develop a business which can make money for you 24 hours a day 7 days a week almost automatically?
I am sure you do…Or else you wouldn’t be reading this ezine right this minute. I have good news…and bad news for those of you desire this for yourself.
The Good News is…YES, you can do it. Many others have created full-time incomes while only working part-time online. It is within your grasp. Plus, many of them have started with little or no money!
The Bad News is…Many of you will need a change of attitude before you will be able to reach your goals.
That’s right…Even with the right information and the right foundation, many people have still failed in their online ventures just because they did not develop the right attitude. An old statement that comes to mind right now for me is “Your Attitude determines your Altitude.”
Your success in life cannot bypass your attitude about life. If your mindset is that you are poor and always will be poor, it will show itself in anything you do. No matter what you do, your results will be poor in your business.
Having a positive mentality about yourself and about your business is a part of this right attitude, but that is not what I want to focus on in this section. I want to focus on your reasons and vision for your business.
If your vision for your business is to just make enough money for a little extra income or to just produce a full-time income for yourself, you will be severely limiting your results. If that is you, you need a change of attitude.
Those who are the most successful people in business are the ones who LOOK for problems and develop solutions to them. They have a vision which is bigger than just to make a little money. They have a vision to solve problems for others.
Are you selling just another product OR are you selling a SOLUTION to people’s problems. Are you just in business to make a little money or do you honestly care about helping other people? The ones who become the most successful in their business are the ones who find a NEED and fill it. They develop the answer that people need.
ctor is true and can be applied no matter what type of business you are in. For example, if you run a network marketing site, are you just trying to hype people up in your program OR are you becoming a source for information on how they can succeed through this method of distribution.
LOOK for problems…
People are frustrated with learning how to submit to search engines!
People are frustrated with learning how to use certain software!
People are frustrated with not being able to produce sales!
People are frustrated with health problems!
Look for these types of problems and frustrations and develop or find products which have the answers. In other words, DON’T just try to think of new ways to make money…Think of ways to solve more problems for more people! Then, the money will come once you learn the marketing side of the equation.
Too often we want someone to just hand us a completely developed business or a business-in-a-box. The truth of the matter though is that most of the time, these types of plans just don’t exist. Any type of business you get involved in will require you to begin thinking of new ways to advance it if you want to be as successful as possible.
The Good News is that all you have to do is start changing your attitude over to being a problem solver. What problems are still out there in your specific market? What problems do people have when they order from your competition? What can you do to make your product or service a better answer to people’s needs?
When you ask yourself these types of questions you are often taking the first step to success. You are recognizing the problem. Now, with the right attitude, you can start looking for the solution. You have the question. Now, Apply the thinking, brainstorming, research, and work to find the answer.
