Increase Your Sales Up To 500%

Increase Your Sales Up To 500% by Tracking Visitors’ Footsteps

When you think of tracking, you probably think of tracking the
response to your various ads and promotions to determine which of
them are profitable and which are just a big waste of time and
money. This is all very important – in fact it is one of the
most important keys to your success.

But there’s a lot more to tracking than that. You see, your
tracking efforts should not stop once a visitor responds to one
of your ads or promotions. In fact, no matter how a person
stumbles across your site it’s just as important to track their
footsteps as it is to track how they found you.

==> Tracking - How It’s REALLY Done!

That’s right, I’m talking about tracking what people do once
they arrive at your website. Here’s a simple example …

Say a person arrives at your homepage, reads a paragraph or
two, and then leaves. A few minutes later another visitor
arrives and does the same thing. Ten minutes later another
visitor shows up, he or she pokes around for a few minutes
but they too ultimately leave without exploring much.

You probably don’t realize it, but chances are this is going on
lots more than you think. For one reason or another, the majority
of people visiting your site are probably leaving without doing
whatever it is that you want them to do.

As Internet marketers we tend to think that everyone who arrives
at our website is going to read every word on every page. Then
they will download our free e-book, subscribe to our e-zine,
purchase our product, or do whatever else it is we want them to
do. After all, who in their right mind is not going to be
interested in what we’re offering. Right?

Unfortunately that’s just not the case … some people just won’t
be interested in what you are offering at your site. And there’s
nothing you can do about that. Even if you are attracting
“targeted” visitors to your website, not every dog owner is going
to buy your book on dog training.

==> Why You’re REALLY Losing Money…

The real problem however, is when people who ARE interested in
what you’re doing don’t take the action you want them to take
once they arrive at your website. Maybe they got lost, maybe they
got confused, maybe they were about to order your product but
bailed out at the last minute when they saw your order form, or
maybe there was some other problem.

Trust me, you are losing money right now for no reason other than
the fact that your website is not as good as it could be. And
this applies to every single site on the web. Even ours, and yes,
even sites like Microsoft.com and Yahoo.com.

A website is never “finished” and that’s why savvy marketers are
constantly tweaking their websites to try to increase the
response to their various offerings. Tweaking headlines, re-
writing sales copy, removing graphics, adding graphics, changing
the navigational system, etc. … these are all things that most
webmasters are doing practically every single day in order to
convert visitors into more revenue.

==> Don’t Do It Blindly, Let Me Give You The Secret…

But the problem is that most people do this blindly, basing
changes on their opinions of how it may affect the behavior of
visitors once they arrive at their website. And let me tell you
right now, this is NOT how to do it.

Just because you think one headline is better than another
doesn’t mean that your visitors will respond better to it. In
fact, it usually works out exactly the opposite – the headline
you think is best will probably generate LESS of a response than
the one you were using before!

Say you have a simple three-page direct sales website. On the
homepage you have a headline, some introductory sales copy, and a
link to the next page which contains your main salesletter. Your
main salesletter really “sells” your product or service, and then
links to your order form.

After awhile you notice that you are not getting nearly as many
orders as you think you should be getting based on the amount of
targeted traffic your site receives. The problem could be with
your homepage, your salesletter, your order form, or a
combination of any of these. How in the world are you going to
figure out where the problem lies?

==> No Guess Work Needed…

You could do what most people do – take a guess – and base your
changes on that. But chances are you will not guess the right
answer, and your sales and profits will still be slim. What’s
worse is that you may end up making things worse, in which case
your sales and profits would actually decrease!

Guessing is no way to run a business. It’s what most people do,
and it’s one of the big reasons that most people are not making
much money. Basing your marketing decisions on your own opinions,
or guesswork, is a sure-fire way to go broke.

Now, on the other hand, if you had a proper tracking system in
place it would be relatively easy to solve your problem. Starting
with the homepage, you could focus on tweaking one page at a time
until your sales were where they ought to be.

Perhaps your tracking system tells you that for every 100
visitors to your homepage, only 5 of them are clicking the link
that takes them to your main salesletter. That is a serious
problem! But since you have an exact baseline figure to work
with, it wouldn’t be too hard to improve upon.

Simply tweak your headline, copy, etc. and then reset your
tracking system to see what the new results are. If after your
changes more than 5 out of every 100 visitors is going to your
salesletter, then your changes helped and you can repeat the
process again. What if this time only 1 out of 100 visitors
clicks to your salesletter? Simple! Undo the changes and start
over at square one.

Maybe after doing this for a week you’re now seeing that for
every 100 visitors, 42 are now clicking to your salesletter.
That’s much better, and you are probably happy with that. Great!
Move on to the salesletter and repeat the process.

If only 5 out of 100 people that reads your salesletter actually
clicks to the order form, you need to tweak your salesletter. It
may take a little while, but as long as you are tracking
everything you will know what is working and what is not.
Finally, work on your order form the same way.

==> How To Increase Your Profits By At Least 100%-500%!

When all is said and done, the average site will probably be able
to increase their overall profits by at least 100-500%.
Just think what it would do to your bottom line if you could
increase your profits 100-500% with your existing traffic!

The above example is really just the tip of the iceberg. With a
good tracking system you can track and improve the response to
almost anything this way – downloads of your ebook, ezine
subscriptions, software downloads, a general lead generation
system, surveys, etc. etc.

==> Here’s The Bottom Line

Listen, we made all of the usual mistakes until finally we
learned the hard way. We decided to do a large advertising
campaign that cost us a lot money. In the end, we still made
a small profit, but we sure did lose A LOT of customers and
potential sales … not to mention we wasted valuable time.

So, we hired an expensive programmer to create AdMinder …
and now you can use it too. For as little as 67 cents a day
AdMinder will track all your various ads and promotions, as
well as allow you to track visitors’ footsteps and actions
once they reach your website. No more guessing!

The bottom line is that it’s pretty silly to spend a lot of
time, effort, and money advertising your commercial website
if it does not do a good job of converting visitors into
revenue in one way or another … wouldn’t you agree?

Obviously I’m a little biased, but the absolute truth of the
matter is that no other tracking system can do everything
that AdMinder does at such a low cost.

money online. And be sure to take the online Tour …

Beautiful Womens Month

In honor of women’s history month and in memory of Erma Bombeck
who lost her fight with cancer.

Here is an angel sent to watch over you. Pass this on to five
women that you want watched over. If you don’t know five women to pass this on to, one will do just fine.

- by Erma Bombeck
(written after she found out she was dying from cancer).

I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth I would go into a holding pattern if I weren’t there for the day.

I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.

I would have talked less and listened more.

I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded.

I would have eaten the popcorn in the ‘good’ living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.

I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.

I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.

I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.

I would have sat on the lawn with my grass stains.

I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life.

I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn’t show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I’d have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.

When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, “Later. Now go get washed up for dinner.” There would have been more “I love you’s.” More “I’m sorry’s.”

But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every
minute…look at it and really see it .. live it .and never give
it back.

Stop sweating the small stuff.

Don’t worry about who doesn’t like you, who has more, or who’s doing what.

Instead, let’s cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us.

Let’s think about what God HAS blessed us with. And what we are doing each day to promote ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally.

I hope you all have a blessed day.

Website Traffïc Generation

Active vs. Passive
Website Traffïc Generation
By Jack Humphrey

Many of my clients and list members ask the same questïons when it comes to generating website traffïc. From the questïons, I can sometimes pick up a thread of misunderstanding about website promotion. One of those threads surfaced last week and turned into this article.

There are actually two broad types of website promotion: Active and Passive.

Things that fall into the category of Passive are:

1) Search engine optimization
2) Writing and Growing Website Content (The pages on your site whether they be articles, reports, your weblog, or a forum)

Many more website promotion tactics fall into the Active Category:

1) Syndicating your content (like this article for example)
2) Paid advertising (Banner and test ads, pay-per-click advertising, ezine advertising, etc.)
3) Linking strategies (Reciprocal and non reciprocal linking)
4) Being active in your “community” (Posting to forums that your customers and associates frequent, for example.)
5) Doing teleseminars
6) Offline networking
7) Joint ventures with businesses who have the attention of your target market.
8) Frëe classified advertising (Some people still see benefits from this type of advertising to this day online.)
9) Offline media advertising (Radio, TV, Newspaper, Trade Magazines and other publications, etc.)
10) Reports, software and other viral frëe tools that point back to your paid services or products.

The two types of promotion are also referred to as “push/pull” website promotion. Passive website promotion “pulls” traffïc to your site while active promotion goes out on the web and “pushes” traffïc to your site.

Looking at the two lists above, where do you think, if you had to choose between them, your time would be best spent?

I will nevër knock search engine marketing. That is a great source of sometimes massive frëe traffïc. Sometimes. Unless you are in a niche that is very competitive. You see, if you are in a competitive niche you will always be out-spent and out-worked by companies with endless budgets and staff for the top positions.

Most mom and pop sites in competitive niches are not going to do well in the search engines if they don’t spend exorbitant sums of time, training, and monëy on getting their sites perfected just for search engines.

You should do what you can do with optimization. Do what you can afford in time and monëy. Realize that search engine marketing is an ongoing battle to get and keep good rankings. It is a long term, ongoing traffïc solution.

But also realize there is a lot of active promotion you can do today to get people to your site who are interested in your product/service whether your site is in the engines or not.

Most people still think you have to wait a long time to make anything happen for your traffïc stats to start improving. That’s not true. You could get a boost in traffïc in as little as a couple of hours using active website promotion strategies.

The simplest way would be to go to Google and start an adwords campaign. Simply meaning, it is easy to start with an account and create your first ad. But then more complicated in that you need to actively watch your stats and improve conversion rates to get the most return for the monëy you spend to get that traffïc.

It’s a good strategy though, especially if you master the science of PPC advertising. I have a bonus in my Power Linking Course that was created by Jonathan Mizel and Adwords guru Perry Marshall that breaks down exactly what it takes to wïn the PPC game.

But there are other techniques listed in the active section above that are frëe and easy to implement which can result in traffïc immediately.

Each one of the things in both lists above can be broken out into much more detailed “plans” for your website marketing campaign. It depends on your goals, your product or service, and the amount of time you have to promote your site, which tactics you use and how much time you allocate to each.

I’ll give you a hint on one of the more powerful traffïc and branding tools. You are currently reading one. I would sell a fraction of the number of my courses if people weren’t able to quickly and easily find several of my articles on hundreds of sites in the search engines.

Writing articles and reports and syndicating them is a short and long-term traffïc and branding solution. I will caution you on this though: Don’t just write a slew of “words” and submit a cruddy article all over the net. You will be branded alright. Branded as a hack or a NON-expert in your field.

You have to care about the reader experience enough to give them something of value in each article you write. This is the only way you should proceed with becoming a writer and syndicating your content. The more you give your readers, the more you get from them in salës and word-of-mouth advertising.

After awhile, if you are good, people start seeking out your articles on your site or elsewhere on the web. This is the “sweet spot” of writing for the web. Writer’s Mecca. Publisher’s Valhalla, if you will.

Hate to write? Hire a ghost writer. At WebFoxMedia.com you can get 10 keyword optimized 500+ word articles written for you at a very good price. And you own the copyrights and can use the articles as content for your site (passively) as well as syndicate them globally (active promotion).

The best advice I can give you though is to become more active in the things that work. Just get going and set aside a real plan for your day-to-day promotion of your website. Don’t get into “quick-fixes” or let yourself fall for the latest traffïc scheme.

If you read about a traffïc gimmick that leaves you wondering in the least about its real efficacy in driving targeted traffïc to your site, just move on to the things above and don’t waste your time on such things.

If website promotion was truly easy and effortless, every site on the net would have a tons of traffïc and you wouldn’t be reading this article on how to get more of it!

Why can’t YOU start your own business?

Filed under: — HBH Site Admin @ 1:37 pm

Even if you love a job or being a full time parent, you’ve probably heard and thought about the saying “you can’t get rich working for someone else.”

Maybe you‘ve even thought about your own business and have ideas about what sort of business you could run. Have you thought as far as a name, tag line, and so on?

So what’s stopping you registering that business name and starting up?

Many people sitting at home or at work day dreaming about business will be thinking along the lines of “its ok for those rich people, they already have a great business. What could I do? How could I get a business going like them?”

A majority of the big names you hear in business were once where you are now – many didn’t have a wealthy background, business savvy parents, an exclusive education or numerous contacts to work from.

So, what’s the difference between you and those business success stories? Why be so sure you can’t succeed like they did?

In reality, the only thing stopping you starting your business and taking it as far as you want to is YOU.

Start with the important business ingredient

Yes, to start a successful business career, you have to believe in yourself.

As Henry Ford said, “If you think you can, you can; if think you can’t, you can’t.”

Ignoring the practicalities of the business type for now, the only thing stopping you being a business person of highest calibre is your lack of confidence in yourself, in your idea or in your right to succeed.

Ray Kroc didn’t have a product of his own; he bought the rights of a business and promoted it and became a very successful business man because he believed it was possible. Never heard of him? Well, he kept the business name of the brothers he bought from; their name was McDonald …

Walt Disney took his idea to 303 banks before he got the funds to start Mickey Mouse and friends on their path to fame.

Barbara de Corti, founder of Enjo Australia, took over two years to sell her first stock of cleaning products; bit of a change for an aerobics instructor!

From the humble beginnings of chronic fatigue syndrome and a run down, termite ridden student flat in Sydney, Sonia Amoroso has built a business empire worth more than $30 million.

There are no rules about who can start a business, and certainly no rules specific to you not running a business.

Look inside yourself and identify if you are putting the breaks on your own successful business before you even take the first step. Ask yourself why you can’t run a business …

Are there valid reasons, or are you putting excuses in your own way? If its money, go and find some or work a part time job to raise the funds; if its qualifications, go and study and or find a related alternative that doesn’t need study; if it’s family commitments, consider how working for yourself will reduce commuting time and child care requirements. Question each “reason” for not starting your own business and find a way around them.

To paraphrase Don Kennedy, give yourself permission to start your business rather than wait for it to come from somewhere else. Essentially, if you wait for others to tell you to start a business and for the perfect time for your business, you will never own a business.

Food For thought

To help you on your way to accepting you can be a business person and establishing a business, here are some questions for you to think about.

You may find it helpful to record your answers in a notebook; you will be able to refer back to these notes later, as well as adding to them and refining your ideas as you learn more.

What do you want to achieve in your life?

Do you enjoy working away from home?

How much control over your income and lifestyle do you want?

What would the perfect working week be for you? How many hours for what income level?

What do you have to offer other people?

Are your dreams important enough to work for?

What sort of lifestyle do you want for yourself? And for your family?

Have you found a business idea you can be passionate about?

How long do you want to dream about running a business and doing nothing about it?

Do you prefer the risk of failure or the risk of regret?

“Half the failures in life arise from pulling in one’s horse as he is leaping“ said Augustus Hare. Why not let your horse have his head?
